The MMIRS cooldown monitoring software can be used while performing an initial cooldown of the instrument. When running, the software continuosly monitors the Cryo Temp and Cryo Setpt parameters to ensure that the instrument is being cooled at a rate of approximately -0.15 K/min. If the Cryo Temp and Cryo Setpt differ by more than ± 5 K, an email will be sent to isg@mmto.org and mmtop@mmto.org. The monitoring software can be stopped and restarted at any time during the cooldown process, and will stop automatically when the Cryo Setpt reaches 78.0 K.
